About the Xocolate Bar

Clive Brown and I, Malena Lopez-Maggi, are an oddly paired duo of artisans-turned-chocolatiers. One day, I had had enough of metalsmithing and Clive, my rock and roll bandmate, had had enough of glass fusing.
On a beach in Thailand, we dreamed up the brilliant idea of opening a chocolate cafe. First things first, I studied under chocolatier Terry Richardson and Clive did his own research. To the kitchen Clive brought the palate of a seasoned world traveler, and I brought my love for food art and Chilean-Mexican home cooking. After much trial and error, inspiration and experimentation, we were in business. The rest, my friends, is history in the making. Random but true is the story of The Xocolate Bar. |
